Subject: Track and Field at State Championship Tomorrow – Mesa CC
Wednesday was a successful night for Brophy, it is like we are currently tied
for the lead with Chandler HS boys at halftime and tomorrow afternoon/evening is
the second half of the game.
There are 60 teams competing in AZ Division 1, so another way to look at it is
that we won our tournament bracket Wednesday and we are now in the final four.Â
With this analogy, the semifinal game will be from 3:00 – 5:30 tomorrow with
Devon Allen in the 110 High Hurdles, then Devon in the 100m, then Will Firth and
Tommy Williams in the 1600m, followed by the 4×100 relay with Anthony Broglia,
Robert Relf, Josh Dennard and D’Amani Grayer, and on-going in the field at this
time will be Mark Schillinger and Cole Walsh in the Pole Vault.Â
If we ‘win’ (enough points) in the semi’s, the championship game will start
around 7:00 and be over by 9:00pm when Josh Dennard will triple jump, Danny
Vimmerstedt will throw Discus, and on the track will be Devon Allen in the 400m,
then Tommy Williams and Will Firth in the 800m, and last event for boys Division
1 has Devon in the 200m.
Go Broncos!
Worker sign up page will be emailed next.
These are all the lanes and races. Girls before boys in all track races as scheduled. Meet starts at 3:45, but girls pole vault at 2:30.Â
Reminder to plan to stay for the 1600m and 4×4 – to line the track and cheer on these last two races of the evening.

Meet schedule is on the previous email from me – Coach Kalkman
This seed information is not final. A couple of schools will still be added. Looks like Marco D.,M. Lasswell, Marche D., and M. Gerchar are the only ones competing early tomorrow. Lasswell is the only one who needs to be there by the Noon start though since he’s the only one in Flight 1.
They (small group) will take a van at  11am with Coach Cox. (Leave the awards assembly at 10:50).
Everyone else can go after school for Friday prelims. Notice that many events do not compete until Saturday. Check the time schedule and the meet program….  If you cannot figure this out – talk to me or your event coach.
Go Broncos!
