Congratulations to Pat O’Neill as he has been selected as Arizona State High School Swim/Dive Coach of the Year by the NFHS Coaches Association. This is a very prestigious honor. Coach O’Neill also becomes eligible to become the National Coach of the Year. A most deserved honor!
Brophy Swim & Dive team wins its 24th State Championship in a row!
Brophy ends the season as State Champions scoring 412 points with second place scoring only 244 points. Individual event state champions were Mike Nelson in the 100 Breast and Chris Webb in the 200 and the 500 Free. The 400 Free relay of Gaby Espinosa, Brad Dorsey, Chris Webb, and Luke Williams also won the gold medal with an All-American time. Other medal finishers were Luke Williams second in 200 & 500 Free, Gaby Espinosa second in 100 & 50 Free, Brad Dorsey fourth in 50 Free, Timmy Frakes third in 100 Back and Tucker Wells fourth in the 100 Back & 200 IM. The 200 Free Relay and the Medley Relay both won silver medals; the swimmers were Timmy Frakes, Mike Nelson, Connor Shores, TJ Decker, Shep Bryan, Chris Webb, Gaby Espinosa, and Brad Dorsey.

Congratulations to the Brophy Swim & Dive team for winning their final Invitational meet this season against 9 of the best teams in the state. Brophy ended the season undefeated. We swept all 3 relays while Individual event winners were Luke Williams-200 Free, Jonas Fowler – 200 IM, Brad Dorsey-50 Free, Connor Shores – 100 Fly, Gaby Espinosa – 100 Free, T.J. Decker – 100 Breast and Timmy Frakes – 100 Back. The State meet is this week Nov. 4th and 5th at Skyline High School in Mesa at 12 noon. Come out and watch your swimmers compete for the State Championship!
Congratulations to the Brophy Swim & Dive team for winning their 7th and LAST dual swim meet this season against North and Boulder Creek. Brophy outscored them 131-55-10. We swept all 3 relays while Individual event winners were Pat Bush – 200 free, Jonas Fowler – 100 fly, Matt Carbajal –200 IM, Ryan McCoy – 100 back, Luke Williams – 100 free, Chris Webb – 100 breast, T.J. Decker – 50 free and Gus Quinif for diving.
The swim team will have their last Invitational meet Saturday Oct. 29th at the Brophy East Pool and the State meet will be held Nov. 4th and 5th at Skyline High School in Mesa at 12 noon.

We swept all 3 relays while Individual event winners were Timmy Frakes – 100 Back, Ryan McCoy – 100 Fly, Lukas Williams – 200 Free, Tom Ottman – 500 Free, Gus Quinif in diving and T.J. Decker a double event winner in the 100 breast and 200IM. Great Job Brophy Swimmers & Divers!
Congratulations to the Brophy Swim & Dive team for their win at the Speedo Classic Invitational in Tucson. 24 teams competed and Brophy out scored the other 23 teams for the Win. We scored 459 points with second place Highland scoring 265. We swept all 3 relays, the first place relay swimmers were Shep Bryan, Gabby Espinosa, Brad Dorsey, JJ Osborn, Luke Williams Timmy Frakes, Connor Shores and Michael Nelson. Gabby Espinosa was a double winner in the 50 & 100 Free, setting a meet record in the 100. JJ Osborn also won the 100 back. The Brophy swimmers traveled to Tucson and competed against some of the best swimmers in the South and come out on top. Great Job Brophy Swimmers & Divers!

Congratulations to the Brophy Swim & Dive team for their win at the Brophy/Xavier Invitational swim meet. We hosted 40 swim teams and had 1100 athletes compete. Brophy easily out scored the other 39 teams for the Win. We won all 3 relays with swimmers being Shep Bryan, Gabby Espinosa, Brad Dorsey, Coby Palivathukal, Luke Williams Timmy Frakes, Connor Shores and Michael Nelson. Individual winners were; Michael Nelson in 100 Breast, Timmy Frakes in the 100 back and Gabby Espinosa was a double winner in the 50 & 100 Free. The Brophy swimmers really stepped up and put on a great performance at the meet. Great Job Brophy Swimmers & Divers!
