Girls as young as 13 are lured in, hooked on drugs and sold into prostitution by those they thought loved them. They are beaten and traded, made to believe that they deserve to be prostituted. They grow up under the control of “pimps” and know no other life. 92 percent want to leave “the life” but don’t know how.

The DIGNITY Immersion Theatre Experience, presented by Catholic Charities, gives participants a realistic view of the life of women and children who are victims of domestic sex trafficking. Survivors share their stories through imagery, poetry, monologue and letters. Upon entry, each participant receives a card with a real victim’s story. At the end of the experience they discover whether their girl/woman died in “the life” or made a recovery.

This event is FREE to the public. Youth ages 12-17 must be accompanied by parent or youth group leader. No one under 12 admitted. Reservations are required, call 602.258.2785.

*The Thursday night performance is reserved for students, faculty, staff and parents of Brophy and Xavier College Prep. It is not open to the general public. There is limited seating available. Tickets will be distributed through the Office of Faith and Justice on a first come, first serve basis. Students under the age of 18 who would like to attend without a parent or guardian must submit a signed permission slip to the Office of Faith and Justice before a ticket will be made available.
