Brophy Statement on Sustainability
Brophy has begun the transition of our campus and culture toward that of a "Sustainable School". The definition of a Sustainable School is "a school building or facility that creates a healthy environment that is conducive to learning while saving energy, resources and money." Brophy is engaging our students, our faculty, and our extended community to promote sustainable building and operating practices on the Brophy campus in order to capture the environmental, economic, health and community benefits of being sustainable.

2009 Summit on Human Dignity Inspires Campaign by
Brophy Alumnus
Daniel Guerithault ’09 was inspired by last year’s Summit on Human Dignity to do his fair share to save our fragile environment. His goal is to minimize the use of plastic bags and, to that end, is selling reusable, durable, cotton shopping bags through his parent’s market, Camelback Market, every Saturday, October through May, at 3930 E. Camelback, (Vincent’s on Camelback) between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. Sale of the bags benefits the Steve Nash Foundation and is currently featured at www.SteveNash.com
