February 1, 2010 - Jack Rubenstein, father of Michael '08
January 25, 2010 - Emily Sloncen, mother of Bob Sloncen '57, lived a long and full life. A memorial mass will be held in the Brophy Chapel on Sunday, January 31st at 2p. Father Dan Kendall '57 will be the celebrant.

December 12, 2009 - Don Heiple, father of James '69 (dec.), John '71 and David '76, grandfather of Jay '00.
October 9, 2009 - Jim Campisano '68 passed away in October after a 21-month battle with Pancreatic Cancer. He is the brother of Fred Campisano, former Physics teacher, Asst. Principal of Student Activities and football coach (1970-1990), and uncle to Gino '87. Jim also has sisters who are Xavier alumnae, Kathie Campisano-Stooks and Kim Campisano, as well as niece Michelle Campisano-Nunley. Jim lived in Santa Rosa, California for 28 years with his wife Maryann and his sons Aron and Chris.

January 4, 2010 - Ian Bucon '06 will graduate from Georgetown in May with a Major in International Politics and a Minor in Security Studies with a certificate (concentration) in Latin American Studies. He has been accepted to the 5th year Masters program in Latin American Studies so will have one more year in D.C.
January 4, 2010 - Noah Bucon '09 just finished his first semester at USC where he is declared as an Environmental Science Major. Spring term he will be taking his courses in a block format and spending the final three weeks on Catalina Island in a marine biology course.
December 17, 2009 - Patrick Williams '94 and his wife Lori welcomed the birth of their first child, a boy named Beckett Parker, on June 13th.

December 17, 2009 - Every holiday, Andy Ingram '87 brings a taste of his Four Peaks Brewery restaurant to the Mole Hole, an informal Brophy faculty/staff gathering that began in 1970 and currently organized by Scott Middlemist '87. Four Peaks has received multiple awards this year including 2009 GABF for Kilt Lifter and 2009 Best Local Brewery & 2009 Best Pub with Grub by azcentral.com. December 9, 2009 - Patrick Hennesy '03 married on October 17th. He met his bride, Tracy, during their senior year at Loyola Chicago. Fellow 2003 grads Drew Gentner & Matt Russo were groomsmen. Also in attendance from the class of 2003 were Brian Awe, Tyler Pidgeon and Scott Swigonski. Tracy and Patrick currently reside in downtown Chicago.

December 3, 2009 - Photographed left with NASA Astronauts Col. John Glenn and Capt. Jim Lovell, Capt. Robert Guyette '97 will be performing the Army Navy Game flyover in the F18 Fighter Jet on December 12, 2009 in Philadelphia, Penn.
Rob is currently stationed in Beaufort, South Carolina and a 2004 graduate of the United States Naval Academy.
Rob will be pinning the wings on his brother 2nd Lt. Brian Guyette '04 the following weekend in Del Rio, Texas on 12/18/2009. He will complete Jet Pilot Flight training in the T -38. Brian is a graduate of the United States Air Force Academy.

In November, the Barrow Neurological Institute selected Brophy sophomore Shane D'sa from a pool of 33 high school candidates from across the valley. The application & review process is extensive and highly competitive. Brophy senior Kiefer Forseth has been working in research at BNI for 2 years and has represented Brophy well...we expect Shane will do the same.

Brophy's Knowledge Masters team finished first in Arizona at the international academic competition. The Brophy team answered 188 of 200 questions correctly. Out of the 678 teams from across the US & 5 foreign countries, Brophy ranked 55th. Hamilton High was runner up.

BROPHY DAD'S CLUB STUDENT JOB REFERRAL PROGRAM
Each year the Brophy Dad's Club organizes a job referral program for Brophy students seeking employment opportunites. The program encourages further development as yong adults and provides Brophy students with valuable work experience. If you are able to provide employment on a part-time basis, or full-time during the summer, please visit the Brophy Job Referral Program.

If you haven't by now, take a few minutes to watch Father Reese's video at the top of this page. In 10 years, Brophy has accomplished much. In 1999, there was no Eller Center, no Piper Center, no Information Commons, no Harper Hall...& certainly no curriculum for students who now grace these fine walls.
Brophy's financial aid budget for the 2009-2010 school year was $2.35 M. Thanks to the generosity of so many donors, young men were afforded a Jesuit education who otherwise did not have the means. Donating to the Brophy Financial Aid is easy.

Nearly 50 Brophy families and friends have pledged gifts to the Brophy Legacy Society. There are many different ways you can use planned giving: you can award a gift to Brophy by naming the school as a beneficiary in your will, your retirement planning, or life insurance program or consider an annuity or trust.
Click the Legacy Society link on the sidebar, you’ll find ideas, information and a calculator which will analyze the benefits based on the different giving packages. Brophy also has professional resources at your disposal. Consider a legacy gift to Brophy.
