After heading the Criminal Justice division in the Washington State Attorney General’s office for almost 21 years, effective March 15th, Scott Blonien '73 will be joining the Washington State Department of Corrections as it’s Assistant Secretary for Government, Community Relations, and Regulatory Compliance. As Assistant Secretary, he will oversee the Department’s legislative activities, Communications Department, Risk Management Department, investigations unit, Hearings Unit and policy office. Scott is married to Sally Blonien (Farrell, XCP '74).

Father Chuck Tilley, S.J. '73 was appointed Principal of Loyola High School in Los Angeles, California.
